Vintage Japanese Katana Sword Samurai Wwii GeneralI have for auction a katana sword that is suppose to have come from a japanese general. I am selling this for a friend and i know little about swords, so i have taekn a lot of photos in hopes that the photos can tell you what you want to know. It has a 26 inch blade from the tip to the decorative handle. It has a shetah that is metal. Overall length is 40 1/2 inches. There is a lot of decorative parts to this sword and some japanese writing but i don't know how to read it. On nov-02-08 at 124154 pst, seller added the following informationcorrection! I was asked to take closeups of the blade and while doing so, i did fidn one nick on the blade near the handle.
