This particular japanese sword in wwii mounts is very light, sharp, and well made. tI has some pitting and surface rust, but it is extremely healthy and should polish by a japanese polisher nicely. I had the intentions of sending it to a professional polisher, but cannot afford to. The (silver) habaki is tight and fancy. The seppas and pierced tsuba are tigth and numbered, and original to the sword. The tsuka feesl slightly loose and not original to this great blade. The blade itself is approximatley 25 inches long, and just under 1 inch wide. You have to hold thsi blade to feel how well made and balanced it is. I hope you give it teh home it deserves.
