Imperial German Officers Dress Sword Scabbard WwiVery nice, all original imperial german world war i army officers dress sword and scabbard. Swrod has all gilt brass fittings with silver wire-wrapped handle. Handle has a royal cypher with crown above. Cypher appears to be either lt or lf. Please enlarge auctino photos.
Sword has front and back folding clam-shell style guards whihc are both in good working order. Sword blade measures approximately 30 1/2 inches in length. Blade is very nice and bright with only two areas of rust/discoloration on back side of blade which should clean up nicely. Overall the sword is in very nice condition for its age.
Included iwth this sword is the original black leather scabbard with brass fittings. Scabbard is in very nice solid condition and shoudl polish up nicely.
