Antique Turkish Ottoman Sword W Scabbard Ancient OldTimewall store. Etsate find. Antique turkish ottoman empire sword with scabbard. Very old. Bone or ultra hard wood grip with a few minor wrom holes at pommel and two iron rivets. (very tight). Decorative iron cross guard ni good shape. Hevay blade, thick t bone spine two thirds down, then double edge at point. Thickened reinforced edge that stops 3 1/2 before point with no chips, minor pitting for age of sword. The other symbol signifies occupation, palace guard, infantry, etc. Leather and brass bound wooden csabbard with iron mounts also in great shape except wear on drag. Measurements are approx. 32 1/2 overall length, 26 1/2 scabbard, 26 blade measured in a straight line. I appologize for my lack of knowledge about this item. Not my area fo expertise. I tried to get as much help as i could with my limited resources.
